When I reflect on my own healing journey, there’s one moment that changed everything.
In 2006, I met Louise LeBrun — my first teacher and the founder of the WEL-Systems Institute.
At the time, I had no idea just how profoundly she would shape the course of my life.
Louise guided me through my first emotional release, a moment that not only brought me back to my near-death experience, but also healed my chronic sinus pain — something that had been with me for years.
After that day, I knew: I needed to learn everything I could about the body’s incredible capacity to be the vessel for my fulfillment.
Within three years, I took four more courses with Louise, and through her, I was introduced to my Lemurian Huna teacher Laura Kealoha.
What I love most about Louise is her uncompromising presence with what she knows to be true. She truly walks her talk. And I’m forever grateful for the role she played — and continues to play — in my life.
This week on the Embodied Podcast, it was an honour to welcome Louise for a heartfelt conversation about trust, transformation, and the wisdom of the body.
Louise shares that the journey to trusting the body often begins by unlearning what we've been taught.
"I was brought up in a world that said my value was directly tied to my intellect... I learned very early not to trust my body."
But the truth, she reminds us, is that every single person has a body — and that alone tells us how significant it must be.
Our bodies are not just vehicles; they are the membranes through which creation flows.
When we surrender to the intelligence moving through us — without trying to control, intellectualize, or fix it — transformation happens.
As Louise beautifully puts it:
"My surrender to the body is what allows manifestation to take place."
And in that surrender, life becomes richer, more joyful, and far more magical than the mind could ever predict.

One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was Louise’s reminder that the "messes" we create in life aren’t mistakes — they are invitations.
"The mess I created is still mine to cherish. And it’s in the cherishing of it that I become."
Instead of abandoning the parts of ourselves or our lives that feel messy or imperfect, we’re invited to engage, stay present, and recognize the intelligence moving even there.
Healing doesn’t happen by bypassing chaos. It happens through it — in the authenticity of being fully present with ourselves.
Toward the end of our conversation, Louise shared how her own life is now guided not by navigating chaos — but by navigating for emergence.
By focusing her energy on what she intends to create — and trusting the magic in each moment — she’s discovering a new way of living, one rooted in deeper trust, simplicity, and joy.
It was a conversation that touched my heart deeply, and I know it will touch yours, too.
